Privacy Statement
The MY JEWEL CLUB respects the privacy of its Members. This is the MY JEWEL CLUB policy on personal information collected through the Programme. It is part of the MY JEWEL CLUB Membership Terms and Conditions and Members are responsible for ensuring that they are aware of these Terms and Conditions.
Any of this information may be used by and shared between the MY JEWEL CLUB and its Business Partners where necessary to operate the Programme in order to provide Members with services relating to the Programme, to communicate with Members, to status Members, to promote offers to Members, to fulfill Member's requests including redemption orders and for identification purposes. It is optional for a Member to provide the above information; however, if a Member chooses not to do so, the MY JEWEL CLUB may not be able to fulfill the services mentioned above. From time to time the MY JEWEL CLUB may ask for additional information, to help improve its services to Members, to create more opportunities for Members to enjoy the Programme, to follow up with Members for feedback or to help prevent abuse of the Programme. Also, the MY JEWEL CLUB may automatically collect other information about Members indirectly through its databases such as customer profiles and consumer behavior. Any customer information (including Members name and contact details) and consumer behavior but excluding information that relate to specific goods or services that a Member buys, may be used by the MY JEWEL CLUB to analyse Member's activity on the Programme. The MY JEWEL CLUB may also use that information, and share it with the Business Partners in order to facilitate various services to the Members, to extend Member benefits and special offers, and for marketing purposes including planning, product development, telemarketing promotions, surveys, or research and other carefully screened marketing programmes or activities, which the MY JEWEL CLUB and/or the Business Partners believe are likely to interest Members. Information regarding the specific goods or services a Member buys from a particular Partner will not be passed to the MY JEWEL CLUB or any other the MY JEWEL CLUB Business Partners except where required to operate the Programme. A Partner with whom a Member uses his or her Membership or takes up an offer may use information about the specific goods or services which the Member registers interest or purchases, to market to the Member or to update a database on which the Member already appears and will be entitled to do this even if the Member leaves the Programme. We ensure that the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal data comply with the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010 ('PDPA') and applicable Privacy Laws in each operating jurisdiction. Members shall ensure that all personal detail provided to the MY JEWEL CLUB is accurate at the point of submission and that the MY JEWEL CLUB is kept abreast and updated of any change in their personal details. Members are also requested to take special care to keep their password confidential and not disclose it to anyone else. The MY JEWEL CLUB is not responsible for any abuse of the Member's password. Should a Member believe that an unauthorised person has become aware of their password, the Member is obliged to contact the MY JEWEL CLUB immediately. However, the MY JEWEL CLUB will not be obligated to refund or return any Points suspected to be inappropriately deducted from the Member's account prior to this notification.
For as long as a Member remains in the Programme and maintains his/her Membership with the MY JEWEL CLUB their information will remain with the MY JEWEL CLUB. The MY JEWEL CLUB will take all practicable steps to ensure the security of the data at all times from any unauthorised access. The MY JEWEL CLUB will endeavour not to disclose any personally identifiable information to any organization unless necessary to operate the Programme and/or if the MY JEWEL CLUB is legally required to do so by law. Members will be treated as having given permission for disclosures referred to in this policy.
